How i went all in and lost it all

So i have an ace 2 and catch a straight to the 5 on the flop, other player goes all in so i do too. He shows a pair 5's with a 7 kicker so i have him beat, then the turn comes it is another 5, I'm still in the lead. Now the river turns over and he gets a forth 5 and i lose it all. But I'd be dammed if i did not get more chips and keep playing, it was only £1 after all.
