nearly £300 down and still waiting for refund!

i ordered a chicken coop with this company, i purposely ordered next day delivery and made sure it was a day where i would be home. not only did this company fail to give me any information after the sale the item did not arrive next day (which was a friday). i then could not speak to any one over the weekend as there was no one available. i then rang up on the monday after an hour on hold i finally get to speak to someone who tells me its coming that day, which is completely inconvenient as i had to rearrange my day to make sure i was home.
When my item arrived the packaging inside was damaged. the product was also faulty,broken,a small piece missing and completely unuseable! i sent an email as specified and recieved absolutely no response. i then decided i could wait no longer so spent another hour on hold and eventually was told to contract damage on delivery by email.
After another LONG wait was told i could return the item for a refund as the item was damaged and faulty. A courier would pick this up and i would be informered what day this would be prior to it being collected.
this did not happen the driver turned up without me being contacted and no any prior knowledge someone would be collecting that day. Lucky i was home!
since this it has been well over a week i have not been refunded! i have herd absolutly nothing from this company, i have spent over £20 worth of credit on hold trying to get through on the phone to them and still have been unable to speak to anyone.
i am so upset and dissapointed i put my trust in this company and feel that i have been ripped off. from the moment i placed the order i had to make contact with them by phone (waiting for very long periods of time on hold) as they NEVER responded to any emails! my credit card company are now pushing for payments and my children are so upset! i just want my money back, we are in a resession and the lack costomer service is appauling. i can not afford to lose nearly £300.
