On 07/09/12 I booked 2 nights at the Raddison Blu through Laterooms.com, it was a late booking and our arrival was that evening. Completed the screen on Laterooms Name, address credit card details etc, and was presented with another screen explaining 'Your Booking Was Successful'. So in the car we go to London, arrive at the Raddisson With reference number, which we present to reception. They explained the booking had not come through, but sometimes it takes sometime. They booked us in and to the room we went, The next morning we leave the hotel for London on the Tube. Half way through our journey I receive and email from Laterooms explaining my booking for last night was unsuccessful, although I had stayed. I immediately got off the tube to call Laterooms, they explained that although it stated my booking was successful and it gave me a reference number, if I had read all the small print, I would of seen it was a request not a booking. There website did say rooms available too at £85. After 45 minutes on the phone to Laterooms I was getting nowhere so decided to return to the hotel to resolve this. I asked to speak to the manager, but after an hour I was getting nowhere so decided to leave. I was charged £206 for one night instead of the £85 Laterooms told me. I don't consider myself stupid and easily conned but Laterooms and The Raddison Blu between them conned me good and proper. Don't believe im the 1st to fall for this, so beware. As for the one night we did stay the room was tatty, plaster missing in the bathroom, staff we unhelpful. I have stayed in most of the hotels, in Bath Rd, and can honestly say this is by far the worst.
