I would advise anyone to reseach the gate openers before installing gates.

I replaced my driveway which was too high and ran some conduits under it, after making and installing the new gates I looked for some openers and scoured the internet. I reviewed a lot of makes and found that gatemotors seemed to have the best selection around. I went for the WG2S which has 24 volt DC motors and felt it safer as it's outside, also they sense when something blocks the movement and stop then reverse, good safety feature. All the photocells are wired on 1 twin cable then addressed with jumpers, great feature. After installing the controls I was a bit concerned about all the programming in the instructions but all I have done is teach it the bus section for the photocells and inputs then setup the gate angles.
The rest of the programming seems a bit of a luxery but if you want any of them they are there. I just needed the basic open and close, and found the pedestrian button handy.
