Parent company is awful

Before you book with the company read my story. I live in Germany and booked with Travel24.de - The parent company Unister is the company that owns flights24. The company gets a lot of bad press in Germany - My experience backs this up. We booked a holiday over a website called ab-in-den-urlaub. This website sporned a window to book a holiday with another sister company travel24 - where a voucher I had purchased online minutes before could not be used. To make matters worse the holiday I booked had daytime flights - important when you travel with young children. Minutes after booking and seeing the website had switched I tried to cancel - I was told I couldnt as the flights were already booked - and confirmed as daytime flights. A week later a confirmation was sent with night time flights on a different day via Istanbul! (8 hours travel instead of 4 and 1 days less holiday) No chance to change anything - without paying over 1300€. Lufthansa

Professional but poor frequent traveller service.

Flights are always clean, service efficient and the catering offering in Europe one of the better ones. The hot wraps are really tasty. Unless you get a cheap deal prices can sky rocket, and lack of a business lounge at major airports like Heathrow loses them a star.

Easyjet

You get what you pay for

Friendly staff - and mostly on time. Food and drink on board are not crazily priced - and speedy boarding allows you to skip the queue at check - in. The only negative point is the lack of allocated seating. The scrum at boarding is annoying.

We booked a holiday with easy child friendly flight times. We tried to cancel straight after booking - but were told our direct flights with Condor were already confirmed and there was nothing that could be done. A week later they changed our holiday to depart on different flights (We lose a full days holiday) and wont let us have our money back - or give us the flights we booked. We now need to fly via Istanbul on an overnight flight - instead of having a daytime direct flight to Egypt - we have two toddlers so this will be a nightmare. We were offered cancellation for 1200€ or rebooking for 1400€ both options only offer what we had booked in the first place!
We tried with many emails and calls to resolve the matter but got nowhere - so we now need a lawyer to try and sort the problem out.
They also added a 15€ hidden credit card charge without any notification on their website that they would do this. They have also contacted me by telephone to try and sell travel insurance twice - without my permission.
