The simple fact here is that I ordered food only to hear an hour later from the restaurant that they would not deliver to my address, although my postcode had been clearly and accurately stated throughout the ordering process. Hungryhouse had taken my money and I had the confirmation emails, stating my order was on its way.
The sad but inevitable news is that the restaurant blame Hungryhouse and Hungryhouse blame the restaurant. The restaurant, by the way, was the New Goldfinch in Swansea.
What is really sad is that I was just so excited about a getting a delivery, we live a couple of miles outside town and few restaurants deliver. So, I am embarrassed to state, it was the highlight of my weekend ordering and waiting for my food. I had paid the extra charge for delivery to my address and was eagerly anticipating my steaming hot Chinese.
I know my tiny protest will go unnoticed, but it makes me feel a little better to think that one person will read this review and not order through Hungryhouse.
It seems ironic that the company is called Hungryhouse because that is how I have been left.
