Ordered a jacket for next day delivery well within the timeframe (around 9am) - the initial email suggested I would receive an email once dispatched which I hadn't received by midday the next day so I called customer service...which rang through....waited a good few minutes...no voicemail, no 'you are in a queue and your call is important to us', nothing so I hung up and emailed (which I received a response to a couple of days later). Later that day after it should have been delivered I received an email informing me there had been a problem and it wouldnt be delivered next day. I received a call the next morning informing me they were there (I wasn't) so posted it through a day late. As it was too late by then as I had already gone away (I only used Blacks due to their next day delivery) I needed to return it (I did receive a response saying they would reimburse postage but emails are sooo slow to respond I had already returned it by then!) so I went to Kingston store and called the store as it had moved....I couldn't find the store with their directions so called again. My husband by this time was with me and when asked is it next to Millets they replied 'we are millets!' - so blacks is now in the Millets store (labelled up Millets) but nobody thought to tell us that (they answer the phone 'Blacks', and they knew it was blacks I was looking for as they directed me from where their old store was which I said I was at). Anyway their assistant mgr (I believe) was apologetic about the situation when I finally found it. I've noticed the shop sign has now changed to Blacks. Awful customer service, will not be purchasing from here again and have spread the word

After viewing in a showroom I purchased two tables online. Although a lengthy delivery as expected, appreciated being informed every step of the way. Customer service when called gave me a precise update. What gave the biggest impression was the drivers...gave me an eta then called to apologise that they would be 10 mins late (infact they weren't late) professional and friendly, took their shoes off, moved the boxes into the room I wanted
Free next day delivery sounds too good to be true....it is! Supposed to receive our delivery between midday and 6pm.....at 6pm my partner had waited 1 1/2 hours after he should have finished work for the delivery - when he called up he got to speak to the delivery driver who said he couldnt find the office (which is not difficult to find!). The delivery hadn't turned up by 630 and by the sounds of it didnt try to deliver at all yesterday! after us having to call Wickes to reschedule, they should be delivering between 3 and 4pm today...watch this space! The biggest joke is that Wickes didnt appear to take responsibility and seem to be hiding behind / placing the blame on the courier company they CHOOSE to use and the customer has no say over....when we called to complain, Wickes 'couldnt speak on behalf of the driver as they weren't there'
