Ok so it's not the cheapest option by a long stretch and the p&p is high for standard delivery but the underwear is truly gorgeous, beautifully made, fabulous silks and always perfectly gift packaged. It's definitely the first place i mention to my husband when he's after inspiration for Valentine's and Birthdays!
I've never had a bad experience ordering from the company or with any of the items my husband or myself have bought.
I just used this website for the first time & i'm really pleased with the service and the quality of the goods. The site has heaps of party goods at fab prices & it's fast & easy to navigate too. The site caters for all kinds of parties, from babies to adults & the choice is amazing. I placed my order on a monday and recieved the parcel 2 days later. The company sent me order status updates too, which was very helpful. Eveything was well packed and i'll be using them again in future.
I've used Liz Earle products for the past 7 years, firstly buying from her shop on the Isle of Wight and now, for the past 6 years, i've always bought from her website. The products are lovely and the formulas remain unchanged & I love the simple pastel coloured packaging. You can buy her products at John lewis now too but what i love about buying online direct from her is that she always includeds a free 'try me' sample in each delivery. These are usually worth an average of £4 if you buy them so it's a nice bonus. The site is easy to use and ordering is a doddle. P&p is good value too but the best part is the lovely way each of the items is wrapped. Liz Earle never fails to impress me.
Our local Handmade Burger Company's in Touchwood shopping centre, Solihull. We've used them for the past 2 years, mostly on Saturday lunch times and around once every 2 months. The staff are fab and always accomodating, we have triplets and they always sort us out a big table and 3 highchairs. For us it's a perfect place to eat and it's child friendly, the food is always amazing too, especially the barbeque burger! Highly recommeded. x
We've used tesco for our weekly groceries shop for the last 2 years and apart from the sometimes brainless substitutions (size 0 nappies instead of size 5..if you have a baby you will understand the huge size difference!) it's always been good. It always arrives ontime & the drivers are friendly. My only gripe is to watch out for 'broken meal deals' as we call them. Sometimes an item from a meal deal isn't available so they substitute it but tesco don't then honour the meal deal and you end up paying full price for each of the 3 items, which can sometimes mean a difference of £20, especially if it's a finest meal that has a bottle of wine included. This has happened to us 3 times in the past, although we're wise to it now and always double check before we accept the substitution. Apart from that it's hard to fault tesco home delivery, in our experience anyway.
I love whateverittakes.org it's a charity website that sells bags, t-shirts, mugs & all kinds of other gifts that are designed by celebrities and fashion designers such as vivienne westwood, stella, donna karan, charlize theron etc. It's a fab way of getting a designer bag at a small price, plus they donate to charity. I've ordered 3 times from them in the last 2 years with no problems. Site is easy to use, ordering is a breeze & p&p is reasonable.
I've ordered twice from the avon website & while i love the products and the website their delivery is so slow. Both times it's taken over 8 days for delivery, which is not so good. It's only a slight improvement on having to wait for goods to come via a doorstep representative. I would use them again but only if i wasn't in a hurry.
I found this site on the beauty bible website last year and i've used them lots since then. The site is vast and i could spend hours trawling through all the things they have. They have great offers and send out a newsletter each month to let you know about new items. It's easy to place orders, p&p is very reasonable and i've always received deliveries within 3 days.
I do love the body shop products and their website is fabulous (except you don't get the nice smells that you do in the shop!) The site is easy to navigate, ordering is easy and they send email confirmation of orders. I've always recieved orders within 4 days with no problems and my goods have always been perfect. The sales are brilliant and they also allow you to rate products, so you can see what other people say about them before you buy (i think all websites should do this!) I'll continue to use the site in future.
I've only used ELF once and while the site is lovely, ordering was easy and i recieved the goods within 3 days I wasn't so impressed with the quality. I guess you get what you pay for but the make-up packaging is flimsy and the actual make-up isn't very nice at all. After actually trying some of their products i've decided that ELF is just overhyped as there are far better budget brands out there that i've tried, and that are much better quality for the same price. I won't be buying from ELF again.
I found ifsogo.com by accident whilst looking for aquashoes. I ordered 3 pairs from them at 12 midday and recieved them by 11.30am the next day! The site is lovely and ordering is easy. They sent confirmation of the order via email straight away and the best part is that p&p was free! The invoice they sent with the shoes also included a 5% discount code for my next shop with them. Perfect service. I wish all companies operated in this way.
I've used boohoo a few times in the past 2 years and always had my goods delivered ontime. Their P&P used to be next day delivery only and was very expensive but i've noticed that they have a cheaper option now. I've bought a total of 5 dresses, 4 tops and a scarf from them. Two of the dresses were sold as being a size S which they equated to a uk 8-10 which i though would be perfect as i'm an 8. When they arrived they were tiny, so much so that they fit my 10 year old daughter! and the quality of one of them was terrible. On the flip side another of the dresses that was meant to be a size 8 was huge, a 12 at least. I've never tried to return goods to them, it's just not convenient for me and seems like a lot of hassle. Overall the quality is not great, sizing is all out and i've not ordered from them since. The tops and scarf were fine but i wouldn't buy any dresses from them again.
I've got triplets so spend vast amounts of money with boots. Ordering is easy and goods are always send quickly and well packaged. I've never had a problem with them at all. It would be nice however if they could somehow credit your Advantage card points to your card automatically when you buy online because at the moment you still have to put your card into the machines instore to get points added, which is a pain because on the rare occassion i'm instore to use the points i forget to do this.
I've never ever had a problem with ASOS. I've been using them since they began with no problems. Ordering is easy and i now use their free delivery service which is great because i always get my goods within 4 days of ordering. Goods are always well packaged and i do get the odd freebie sample sent with them too. They once sent me the wrong size item and when i called to let them know about it they refunded my delivery charge and gave me a discount of 50% off the item also - perfect, i couldn't ask for more, it's customer service at its best.
I used this site recently to order a large amount of swarovski crystals. The site is easy to navigate, it's easy to place and order and i recieved my goods within 3 days. The crystals were well packaged and clearly labelled, which is good because there's only a 1mm difference in some of the sizes i ordered! I will be using this site again as it's the cheapest i've found for genuine swarovski crystals in bulk packs and the service is brilliant. Downside is that some of the items on the site don't have an accompanying picture which makes it hard to decide whether or not it's what you're looking for.
I've read the reviews below and i've always had good experiences using CK. P&P could be lower and delivery could be faster for the price but i've never not recieved goods ordered or had to wait for longer than a week for them to arrive. You do have to be quick of the mark during sale times and a couple of times i've found that by the time i go to check out, an item in my basket that was 'in stock' 30 minutes earlier is now showing as out of stock, but that's always been before i pay for the order so no harm done.
I've been ordering from CK nearly every month for the past 5 years, as i do love her things and we don't have a shop near us in solihull so it's easier for me.
I've ordered from Debenhams 6 times. On 2 occassions my items were sent out in 2 seperate parcels and on one occassion a large glass paperweight had been 'removed' from it's box inside the parcel via a sneaky slit that had been cut in the bag and sellotaped back up!!! On calling to complain the man i spoke to didn't seem surprised!! and offered to send a replacement immediatley, which he did and it arrived intact 2 days later. While i'm happy that this was resolved it does seem that orders are sent out in dribs and drabs, which isn't ideal and they never arrive within 5 working days. I've used tham again since the paperweight episode with no problems and will continue to do so but i wouldn't rely on them to get items to me if i needed them quickly.
I've used Space NK 4 times, usually around sale time! I do love the products and the sales they have are great. My orders are always processed quickly and on the two occassions that they have been out of stock they've always called me to let me know and even waived my p&p on one occassion. My only gripe is that p&p is quite high, that's just for normal delivery, next day delivery is extortionate! but on the upside the packaging is brilliant and they giftwrap for free and include freebie samples of some of their other products with each parcel.
I've used dotcomgiftshop quite a few times and i'm always very happy with the service and goods. Ordering is easy and goods are despatched quickly and always well packaged. They also send offers via email if you're signed up to their newsletter. Excellent all round.
I placed an order with this company and waited 3 weeks in total for delivery. They didn't keep me informed, didn't mention a stock problem when i ordered and didn't contact me re a delay. I had to call them in the end, after 7 days, to chase my order up. My goods came eventually but in two seperate deliveries, one 2 weeks after ordering and the other 3 weeks after ordering. I had to call 3 times in total to find out where my goods were. All in all not a good company in my experience. I don't expect to have to chase an order up and at the very least i would have liked a refund for delivery or an apology. I won't be using them again.
My origional post has been removed, not sure why because i didn't mention anything that anyone else on here hasn't already said! Basically i related to everyone else on here about how they don't have stock but take your money then ignore emails and take weeks to refund. The company is rubbish, they should be shut down. I finally got a refund after 6 weeks of being fobbed off and ignored.
Spread the word to everyone you know that this company is useless. They are nothing short of daylight robbers. I've had to contact trading standards, my bank, watchdog and consumer direct. I've also emailed most of the companies that make the goods they supply to let them know what a bad name SoSpecial is making for them, including the rather well known underwear company that they have an advert for on their welcome page - who incidently i won't be using in future.
SoSpecial have a twitter page too, maybe everyone can join up and we can all share our thoughts about SoSpecial on twitter too!
