I've got a very coulourful experience with them for some time now.
- I ordered one pair in October. The PD value is wrong, the groove for thin plastic line which holds the lenses in the semi rimless frame has been ground far too deep and wide, it doesn't run in a straight line and at some points the machine has touched the edges of the lenses where it wasn't supposed to. The lenses were too wide and poorly fitting in the frame. So I after an email complaint they asked me to send them back. After about 2 weeks of not hearing from them I emailed them again and they told me they didn't receive the glasses. Being sent seigned for I had a clear evidence they HAD been received. It took them a couple of days to find them. - While waiting for these glasses to come back I ordered th reglazing of two of my existing frames with different prescriptions. One of them with plain -10d lenses, had "too complex" a prescription so I had to pay an additional £15 for thinner lenses, which is a rip-off as they let you choose any index lenses for any prescrition. It would be an easy thing to do to show only applicable indexes. However, I agreed and paid the additional £15. For the 2nd pair I asked them to add prism to the prescription as that's not selectable online when ordering, fair enough. I paid, sent them the PayPal Transaction IDs and also my frames, both clearly marked with the order number in numerous places. Needless to say, after more than 4 weeks they alledgedly didn't receive them once more, strange though that one [name] signd for them the next day after I had sent them on 10th December.
- Now they were totally confused when I asked them to finally finish the first pair and they told me thy had to re-order lenses as the prescription had changed. We never talked about the change of prescription for that pair and I asked them to finish them (as in replacing the lenses with properly fitting and ground lenses of the same prescription as first ordered) finally. They came back shortly after and it's needless to say that they were in exact the same condition as I had sent them out, instead of the rather nice original Ted Baker case I got a very bulky yet flimsy plastic case back.
- Today, 13th January, I called them on the 0845 number (obviously in India!), got a prompt response and I asked them about the to-be reglazed frames. They again said they didn't receive them, I proved otherwise with the RM tracking code and now waiting for any news. The frames alone are easily more worth than £150.
