I recently ordered dog food from two separate suppliers. Both companies provide a great service with the exception they use UK Mail for their deliveries.
For the first delivery I found that the box had been left on my door step only when I checked the online tracker and found, to my surprise, the delivery had been made 30 minutes earlier. I heard neither the door bell or knocker to indicate UK Mail had arrived.
For the second delivery I saw the man come through the gate and immediately headed to the front door. There was a short knock (the bell didn't ring) and the box was dumped on the doorstep. By the time I opened the door the man was nowhere in sight. Given this box was clearly marked 'FROZEN FOOD, KEEP IN COOL PLACE' leaving it on a doorstep in full sun was not impressive. Also, I live on a main road and the boxes could be clearly seen from the street.
Incidentally, my doorbell is working OK, I checked.
The only good thing about UK Mail is the online delivery tracker. It's the only way you may know a deliver has been made!
I purchased dog food, and some treats, from Pooch and Company as it was recommended by the breeder I got my puppy from. The puppy really seems to enjoy the food although I do mix it with some wet food, again as recommended by the breeder.
The food seems very good value for money and was delivered quicker than I expected. I will definitely use Pooch and Company again.
I've used Futureshop several times, mainly to purchase interconnect cables. Their prices are competitive and delivery has always been fast.
On the few occasions I've needed to contact them with questions about a product they've always been helpful and never tried to 'force' a sale on me.
