Don't order if you want privacy with net curtain!

I order a few net curtains as they looked very good. As recommended on their website I order double size thinking that should be enough. However when they arrived they were so see thorough that as they wouldn't accept me returning the curtains I had to re order more of the same curtains just to get enough gather to give some privacy!
I wouldn't recommend their net curtains to anyone!

Dear Jahanara Bahar-Hussain,
I was disappointed when I read your review, as we like all of our customers to be happy with their purchase. I have checked on our admin system and you placed your first order on the 1st March which was double gather. There is then another order on our system on the 19th March (which we processed with free postage) where you have ordered some narrow curtains the same height, to give yourself more gather/privacy.
If you add the two curtains together this gives you approximately x3 gather.
All of our net curtains are hand made to the customer's exact sizes and are very labour intensive, so therefore if a customer changes their mind and would of liked more gather, this does have to be chargeable as a new curtain will have to be handmade.
We offer a free sample service and highly recommend our customers use this if they would like to see what the fabric is like before ordering. You ordered the Butterfly design which has an open weave, so therefore will let lots of light in. If your main concern was privacy, either the Kylie Plain Muslin voile curtain (which has a much tighter weave) or the Jessica Lace curtain which has a heavier weight would of been a more suitable option.
Alternatively a different style of window dressing may be more appropriate, such as a Vertical Blind or Venetian Blind. With these blinds you can easily adjust your privacy to suit your needs.

Great products, shame about the returns service and policy

Loved all the products but needed to return afew items as the showerbath i ordered was the wrong side to what I needed. I called the customer service department on the day that the items was delivered and was given the wrong info and called the courier company who said that the request had to come from Betterbathrooms and not myself. So I called them back and finally got them to agree to request the return after I agreed to pay for the return but the agents didnt seem to know what to do with this. i then didnt receive the returns form so I had to call them back. After several calls over the next afew days on a daily basis as I was sent the returns form with the wrong items listed to be returned. Because of this I dont think I will order anything from this company unless I know that I dont need to return anything to them.I think they need to make returning items easier.
