This is really a great website. I suppose the success of your delivery ultimately depends on the courier you choose. Do as much research as you can and look at courier websites and feedback on Shiply.
When I placed a order for a LG Washing Machine F1481TD for £407.99 on the 10/9 their website estimated delivery within the week. After three weeks the washing machine still hadn’t arrived despite numerous frustrating phone calls and emails. I repeatedly called up customer services; they told me different things but basically lied to me. I eventually had to cancel the order as with a family of four I simply couldn’t manage without a washing machine. Another supplier delivered a Bosch washing machine to me in just four days. I am lucky I had the cash to buy another one! Otherwise I would be washing my things in the sink!
Ultimate Appliances Ltd promised a refund between 5 and 7 days. Three weeks later, despite numerous fruitless phone calls and emails I am still waiting. I have been forced to make a claim through my credit card. As a seasoned online shopper I have bought literally hundreds and hundreds of items online but this is only the third time I have had to make such a claim.
This company offers truly terrible customer service. They tell you everything you want to hear but never ever deliver. They repeatedly said the item was in stock and will be delivered next week. Later I found out they never had it in stock. Their customer’s services manager said she would call me back on the 15/10 and find out what happened to the refund she was going to prioritise for me on the 5/10 (original order cancelled on the 26/9). She never called me back even after I left two other messages with other members of their “customer services” team. In fact no one has ever called me back, not once. On-line complaints are also a waste of time as they just ignore them.
Ultimate Appliances are quite a small company when compared to most on-line retailers you have heard of. If you look at the stats 17% of customers are unhappy with this company, in other words 1 in every 5.9 people. Is it worth taking the risk?
Beware please don’t order from this company. You have been warned! Don’t be fooled by some of the amazingly good reviews. Aren’t they too good to be true?
