Booked 5 months out and in full. 2 days before got. "Overbooked" notice. Checked with hotel advised booking was never in place. Asked travel republic for explanation. Refused to provided evidence of a booking. Offered a hotel 30 mins away and with really bad reviews. Asked travel republic for an option nearby to original hotel as they had number with the same rating available. Told we would have to pay the difference. When. Advised we were greatly concerned of the poor hotel rating and reviews and its remote location told "well that's your problem not ours now"
Refused request for compensation to meet our additional cost of our new hotel in breach of abta. Currently with abta to investigate
Do not book with them for accommodation. The number of overbooking or non booking is just not worth it.
