I ordered a Makita table saw because it was £40 cheaper than elsewhere with free delivery. I soon received an email saying it was out of stock and would be back in soon. True to their word within 3 days it was despatched and arrived when promised in perfect condition.
Powertools2U take a bit of stick online for stuff being out of stock...my advice would be: if you're desperate for the tool, pay more elsewhere for next day deliver, but if you can afford to wait a few days, you'll make a healthy saving.
A few years back I ordered a Barbour jacket from Country Attire which has lasted a staggering 5 winters. I re-visited Country Attire a week ago to buy a reoplacement and spotted their Belstaff jackets with a healthy discount. I ordered one and it arrived the next day by DPD. It was a good fit but I wasn't keen on the fabric so I used the free returns label to send it back. The day after I returned it I receieved a polite email to say that I had been refunded in full. That's good service and I 'm now going to order a different jacket.
We needed two new rear tyres on my wife's car. National Tyres had quoted me £265.00, but I knew I could buy the tyres (Bridgestone Potenzas) for just £65 each and could arrange local fitting for £12 a wheel. That said, I'd still have to do the leg work and take the old tyres to the tip. Total cost £154.00.
A Google search then showed etyres, who would bring the tyres and kit to my home, do the fit and take away the old tyres...total cost £168. That extra £14 was money well spent, etyres arrived on time, swiftly fitted the tyres, took away the old ones, meaning I could carry on working.
I would highly recommend them and will be using them again when my car is due for a change.
