Gave one star in here because of very poor service and was contacted by PYB to ask me to contact an Ash direct. When I did I was told that I would have to give them the time, date of call and the telephone number I was asked to call. Errrr yes of course I kept this information from several weeks ago. They log all calls so I'm sure they can find this information instead of asking me for it!!! Very poor and will not be using again.
UPDATE! They are now taking money from two direct debits!!! They insisted there wasn't one set up on my account and made me set up another one. They are still asking me to call an 0844 number from my mobile, which I have refused to do. I am paying twice for the same products. They are a joke.
How many of these 5 star reviews are from people who have actually made a claim as most seem to be for ease of use of their website?
This us my local restaurant but I am continually being short changed on the coffee sizes. I emailed the head office to ask if the horizontal line on the side of the coffee cups was the legal marker and they confirmed it was. 90% of the time! my coffee is well under this line. I get sick of taking it back to the counter and just accept it now. When I have complained to staff, they say it is impossible to be undersold as a machine measures it out. It this is true then they need to move the lines on their cups!
Never had any problems buying or returning items in the store. We have excellent staff at our local Argos and will go out of their way to help. However, the online Argos is very poor. I only ordered stuff twice and twice they made major mistakes so I never use their online website. I think it boils down to staff and stores.
Touch wood, I have never had any problems with the regular orders I make with this company. They are efficient and put many others to shame. I don't even bother price checking items now as Amazon are always the cheapest. Shame about the minimum order value to get free delivery now but I just wait and order more than one product if my order doesn't qualify now.
The problems I have had with this company are too numerous to write about. I sent a complaint to their website, only to be contacted by the people I was making the complaint about! The manager himself asked me to contact him to sort my warranty out but when I did he kept putting the phone down on me. I then tried to email him, so did my mother, but he ignored the emails. My lifetime warranty is now out of date so if anything major happens to my car, I have have a large bill. I know why they have treated me thus way- it is because I found a local supplier that was going to do the service much cheaper than them. They said they would price match it but then they refused. Then when I complained they said they would match it but I could never get to speak to anyone about booking it in. This franchise was at Chilwell in Nottingham. D Waldram
After being let down four times by a supposedly good appliance website (see my other review), Home Supply, even though I ordered back in February, came this morning, on time, with the correct items and nothing was damaged. The friendly driver was also happy to wait while we checked the order before he left.
I will definitely be using and recommending this company again. Thank you Home Supply- a good company that keeps its promises unlike others.
In September last year we purchased two expensive leather recliner chairs (I even gave them a 5* review on here). Last week I noticed that one of the chairs was worn on the seat seam. I rang up Furniture Village who organised a technician's visit.
When the technician came out he said that leather does wear near a seam as it it the part that is raised on the seat.
We have just received his report and he has said that are not prepared to help, other than recoloring the bald bits!
I have just rung Furniture Village in the hope that this information was a joke but despite taking out insurance, we are not covered by their 5 year structural guarantee.
Well over a thousand pounds spent on two chairs, one of which is worn after evening use only. I would advise all future customers to avoid this shop and go to a more reputable one.
I will be seeking legal advice on Monday as I cannot believe the seat leather is only expected to last 6 months. This chair is not fit for purpose and they should not be selling them.
AVOID, AVOID, AVOID
I ordered and paid for three different products 8 weeks ago and arranged the delivery date for tomorrow as I do not have room for storage. I have had three calls from this misfit, cowboy 'company' in four weeks to tell me that I will not get two of my products as they are out of stock/and or damaged.
This company is a joke. My kitchen fitters are booked for next week and have no appliances to fit! What am I going to do or say to them? This is a nightmare and I can't believe they have left it until less than 24 hours before delivery to let me know! I have tried to source the appliances again from more reliable companies but now most are out of stock and there is a 4 week wait.
They take your money and sell your goods. They have 8 weeks worth of interest on this money that could have stayed in my bank.!!!

PS: just found out that pulled the same trick on another family member who had bought a very expensive fridge and freezer for a 2 day delivery but had to wait a month as it was constantly out of stock. Funny how they took her money and ours straight away though.
UPDATE: they rang me the day before delivery to say that they will not be delivering the dishwasher that they had found from another source and cannot tell me when it will be delivered either.
UPDATE: they rang me this morning (the delivery day!!!) to say that I cannot have the hob either as it is out of stock. FOUR times I have been let down by this so called company.
After cancelling an order with this company, I have been bombarded with unsolicited calls from a company called Interior Contracts that are trying to sell me some kitchen units. I asked where they got my number from and they said Betta Living. I have told them each time they call that I would never do business with Better Living or any company associated with them and have asked them to remove my number. They have rang twice today already. I have also started getting a lot of spam emails and believe Better Living have given out my email address in addition to my telephone number.
We are over £200 out of pocket because of Better Living, due to their poor service. It looks like I will have to buy a new SIM card and change the mobile number I have had for many years just to stop the calls. I truly wish I had never heard of this company!
