I have used The Drink Shop on several occasions to deliver gifts to friends and have yet to be disappointed. Good prices, wide range of products (I have yet to find a drink they don't supply), accurate delivery predictions, excellent across the board.
I found the knight's armour for my five year old nephew without too much trouble at a very reasonable price and paid for next day delivery (quite steep but I feel that is a Royal Mail problem and not one for Jokers' Masquerade). All OK so far. Then I found that there was no way of entering additional delivery advice but my order had gone through. I telephoned JM within half an hour and asked if they could rectify this and was told that the order had already gone for despatch and she could do nothing to help me, so much for customer service. I then asked, tongue firmly in cheek, if I should buy a second costume over the phone and give her this advice to which the reply was "if you want to make sure your parcel arrives when you want it, yes" thus putting the onus most firmly on me and letting me know there was no other option; I had always assumed that it was the vendor's remit to make sure that purchases arrived having taken all necessary pains. Perhaps you could regain your 'lost' star by giving, as do the majority of online shops, your customers the opportunity to point out any foibles of delivery that your chosen courier might encounter. Mine is that I work in a highly classified area which necessitates entry by advance pass and an escort to the relevant building, information I'm sure the delivery company may have been pleased to have.
