Lots of items but dismal support

Have done a couple of orders from them. They've a good range of electronic components but sometimes the information is poor or completely lacking. You have to know about the item yourself rather than rely on them to give much away. They have facility for customer feedback / information on items but I've never ever seen anything. Hard to know how many people are using them.
The delivery system is also pretty bad. You get an email saying the order is processing, then a couple of weeks later it arrives, but no updates prior to that.
I bought one item and it was not what it looked like in the photos. I queried this but got absolutely no response - that does not impress me, so I will only ever buy low cost items and when I can't get them elsewhere.
If you guys are reading this, pick up your game and make sure to COMMUNICATE with your customers.


Come a long way since a year ago

I've done quite a number of orders with DX now. The first couple were very slow and customer support was awful. But that was 2 years ago and now - probably 10 orders in the last 6 months and I can't fault them.
But don't expect things to be shipped exactly when the "ships in..." thing tells you and don't hover over the mailbox - give it a bit of time, as sometimes their stock access is a bit slow. But so far everything I've ordered has come, sometimes very quickly and sometimes 3 weeks (and more).
Customer support is now pretty good. Two faulty items in two separate orders were replaced quickly after I sent photos and when through the rma process properly.
You have to evaluate the quality of some items with care. I've had a gas lighter that became just dangerous to use after a few uses (refund was given). But often there are user reviews and at least with the electronic components reviewers are often very knowledgeable and helpful.
