Next Day Delivery? Its now two days late

I ordered a product from Surfdome on the 22nd with a Next Day delivery, I ordered late however, so i knew i wouldnt recieve the package till the 24th. Through emails from Surfdome, and using DPDs tracker I was kept up to date of what was happening.

24 Oct 04:56 Birmingham Your parcel has arrived at the local depot
25 Oct 01:58 Hub 3 - Birmingham Your parcel has been received at our sortation hub
25 Oct 07:11 D**** Your parcel has arrived at the local depot
25 Oct 09:34 D**** Your parcel is on the vehicle for delivery
The estimated time of arrival is between 11:50 - 12:50
Out For Delivery e-mail response & Out For Delivery SMS response notification sent

Looking at this, the package spent 21 hours sitting around in Birmingham...Why wasn't it on its way to my local depot.

To also add to this, I was messaged with the time of delivery today. as you can see above. Its now 13:10, according to the website its been out on delivery since 09.34 . The Depot is 15 minutes away from my house.

If I chose the Royal Mail option it would be here by now for free
