Dolphin Music Go The Extra Mile For Customer Satisfaction

I've shopped with Dolphin before when they had a bricks & mortar store in Huddersfield and they were great. I needed some new gear but their Huddersfield store had closed down so I visited their on-line store instead.

I was after an Ibanez GRG170DX (Lefthanded) "Black Knight" guitar, a practice amp and some accessories. Up to placing my order this was a pretty standard on-line shopping experience. The site was easy to use and the range of stock was impressive. Prices were comparable with other on-line outlets. I wanted to pay using their 9 months interest free credit plan and this was a breeze as the credit application and approval was all done as part of the checkout process; no delays waiting for forms to arrive in the post! Once the credit was approved and I'd paid the deposit on credit card my order was accepted.

A representative (Stephen Atherton) emailed me shortly after I'd placed my order to let me know that the guitar strap I wanted was no longer available. Stephen asked me to choose some alternative items and said not to worry about any price differences (within reason) as they would not charge me any extra. I selected a guitar strap that was worth significantly more than the one I'd originally ordered, my order was amended with no delay and I could see the changes on-line.

Another email followed to say that the amp I'd ordered was no longer being made but that they were contacting stores to see if they had any stock. I said I was interested in a slightly more expensive amp and once again they offered to supply this one instead at no additional cost!

Once the order had been finalised I could keep up with progress on-line at every stage. I received a text to let me know that the order had been transferred to their courier for next day delivery and another the next day to say that they would be delivering between 11 and 12. The courier arrived as scheduled and all items were present and correct.

I also received a few emails along the way from Stephen to keep me posted on the status of my order and to make sure I was happy once my order had arrived.

All in all I was very pleased with the overall experience and would definitely recommend them.

Oh, and the gear was first rate too!
