I bought a copy of photoshop, a hard drive, mouse. keyboard and a monitor this week in the PC World in Stevenage. I returned the screen within the same day as the person who got it for got the wrong one, which was £30 more than the one I wanted. This was the start of my problems. The copy of photoshop had obviously been previously opened and upon loading the software it was already registered. I of course took this back, and received very rude service, was kept waiting for a total of around an hour then refused a refund as it was 'registered software'. I phoned their 'knowhow' service, who were even less help and in no short terms called me a liar. I refused to carry in a 21 kilo Mac Pro, and was told that if I can 'film what the screen says' I may be able to get a refund.
I now refuse to shop in there, I've finally learnt my lesson. Unless you go in there with a grand cash in hand to buy a new computer, they couldn't care less about you.
Oh, and I did a little mystery shopping of my own the other day, apparently Photoshop CS6 will work on a PowerPC based Mac G5. No product knowledge in there at all.
