We bought a large roll of weed membrane and the large pins to hold it down. Friends thought it look very thin in comparison to what they had use but we thought ours was a more modern type and got to work with it. Looked at many, many websites done, and went ahead with it. Then within a few weeks low and behold we have life growing through it! Not happy I emailed them through Ebay with photographs asking for some advice, and got a response offering £15 or another roll. Not quite sure why I would want another roll, or actually need one. Are we expected to start all over again moving tonnes of gravel? And it has cost more than £15 trying to sort it out up until now. We spent well over £50, and I am really unhappy. As a genuine buyer who has been using Ebay for years I am really upset and annoyed. They have not responded to my last messages, then I receive an email from them. They have used my paypal email, and sending an email about their 'new look website'. I don't remember giving them permission to use my email or signing up to emails. Sent an email about this and will be interesting to see their reply.
I bought a voucher for 4 hanging baskets. They arrived late after having to chase them up. They are nothing like the 'Hanging Baskets' in the picture, but are hanging cheap 6 inch plastic plant pots. I rang Groupon, they offered me a £5 voucher and said basically it had nothing to do with them. The company who sent the plants have done this to many people, not just with the hanging baskets but with many other plants sold through Groupon. Google have lists and lists of unhappy people. And Gardening Express are one of the most arrogant company's I have ever dealt with. I tried contacting the Managing Director Chris Bonnet, but they 'apparently and allegedly' were in Holland!
I asked for the Managing Directors name as I want to contact them. Groupon's Customer Service asked if there was anything they could do. Clearly not! A lot of the time the Customer service have not even replied.
It is now in the hands of 'Trading Standards' as I will not be ripped off. They have been very interested in Groupons response, as I am of the opinion that they have a 'Responsibility' towards this. they advertise Hanging Baskets. The have a picture of a Hanging Basket (The photo shows a hanging basket with what looks like a metal chain). They are falsely advertising the items, and giving time-scales which are totally different to reality and what Gardening Express say.
Amazing, Truly Amazing. I bought this for myself and our disabled son yesterday. And here it is this morning. I have gone from never having heard of the company (sorry), to having purchased and received all within 24 hours. Amazing. I am utterly gob smacked. And so pleased.
