I've had nothing but trouble since transferring to 123 Reg. Firstly, having waited 10 days for my .com domain to transfer to my new account with them, my Control Panel went down the minute the domain arrived there. I couldn't configure my website details or email addresses. As support appears to shut down for the weekend, my company was left with no website or email for 4 days, costing me a lot of time and business. Once sorted out, everything seemed ok, and I purchased a 2 "Unlimited" hosting packages for 2 other websites. I encountered Error 500 responses on both hosting accounts from the word go, sometimes to such an extent it was impossible to use them. I contacted 123 Reg support about both, and received two totally different explanations for the errors. As yet the issue isn't resolved, and preparing these projects for launch is taking twice as long as a result. We literally cannot launch these sites whilst they're with 123 Reg. I'm currently looking to get hosting elsewhere, but I'm annoyed at losing the money I wasted in buying from 123 Reg. As no monthly payment option is available, I've had to pay for 12 months of two lots of useless hosting, and just throw the money away when I change to a company that is capable of providing adequate hosting. 123 Reg advertise their "Unlimited" hosting packages as "suitable to host multiple large and busy websites or for web developers", yet it's barely capable of hosting one site, never mind multiple sites! I'd say 123 Reg is fine for buying domain names and hosting hobby blogs and basic websites, but if you need reliable, professional hosting for a business, go elsewhere.
PS. I am struggling to post this review, an Error 404, apparently. Guess who the web host is....
