Amazon

Not as good value as it appears.

Amazon continues to undercut every competition, even it's own marketplace sellers. Competition in retail should provide a healthy balance in price and choice but Amazon are causing more harm than good. Buying from Amazon may save you a couple of pounds initially but if they continue to close down small businesses, causing the loss of permanent, skilled and enjoyable employment, and only providing unskilled temporary warehouse employment, then I think we will all suffer in the long term. Eventually there will be no local shops for our kids to get jobs, and our town centres will be boarded up. Now is the time to support the businesses that will keep employment, culture and our local communities healthy. Amazon will not.
