I bought a Canon EOS 1000D Twin Lens Kit costing £459.99, I was told it would take 1-2 days for it to be processed and then promised 2-5 days for delivery.
After 7 days, it still hadn't been processed. After reading reviews that 22% of customers would never buy from them I was starting to understand why.
I needed the camera delivered within 14 days so I could have it for my holiday I was going on. And at that rate it didn't look like that would happen, so I cancelled my order after finding the same kit at Argos (for £20 more) but I trusted them and they delivered it in 2 days so I had it for my holiday.
But the getting the refund was a nightmare! I told Simply Electronics I wanted to cancel my order, they emailed back saying they would update my delivery to express and give me a free 5-in-1 lens cleaner. So I emailed again say No, I want to Cancel it, not get free stuff. So they said yes, it’ll be canceled in up to 11 days at the most. 11 days later, no refund. I emailed them again. It'll be sorted in 3-5 days. Was it? No. Another email and they said it would be with me soon.
In all my refund took 4 weeks to be transferred, I nearly ended up paying the bill of £495.99 because of how bad a service they had.
So I'll never buy from them and I’ve told family and friends not to, so just splash out the slight extra money and be happy with the knowledge that you will get your item!
