Rip off merchants in Middlesbrough and Sunderland

This company is terrible, they are quick to take money but try getting it, either selling or returning something and its like trying to fry eggs on a siv!!!

Bought a lap top, which when i got home didnt work. I had a professional computer company look at it and confirm it was faulty, something to do with the hard drive being broken. When I took it back to CEX, with comfirmation it was faulty from the computer repair people they refused to give a refund saying it had passed their tests and that was all that mattered to them. The did however, say I was welcome to sell it back to them or trade it in..... I ended up losing £150 to them, I am sure this is illegal but somehow they get away with it ripping off students and the like who look to these people for a bargin. This was in the Middlesbrough shop, with some manager who really couldnt care less. The Sunderland branch are not much better, everytime we take or buy something from them there is a problem.

Honestly stay clear, your better off buying from ebay with paypal protection. At least youll get your money back i the item is faulty.

I wouldnt even go as far as to give this place 1 star if it was up to me.
