Stayed in yesterday as parcel was due to arrive in the afternoon. Got a text halfway into the delivery slot, saying no one was in to sign which seems odd since no one rang the bell and no calling card was left. Called their customer service to make sure they had the full address - they did. (customer service was friendly enough, they even called me back on request once, but the information they provide doesn't seem to have any basis in reality)
Was given another delivery slot around noon today - but again, no one showed up.
Called their premium rate customer care number yet again, and was assured parcel would arrive by 6 pm at the latest. But it didn't, and have just received another text saying no one was in to sign for it. So they either somehow have the wrong address, or are simply sending me false information.
Need parcel urgently and therefore ordered next day delivery but had this appalling experience instead. PCspecialist has great reviews and I cannot understand why they're tied up with a courier service with such a bad rep. Anyway, after having spent time and money waiting home and calling their customer service, I still do not have my parcel.
PS - It is now the third day and I've just been informed of a delivery slot for this afternoon. If I don't get it today I plan to try and cancel my rather large order with PCspecialist and get a refund.
Conclusion - must avoid companies using DPD, especially for important and urgent deliveries.
