Easiest way to visit London

I had never been overseas from the US and only had 3 days to spend in London proper. Getting the London Pass in advance and being able to access and review the places I wanted to visit ahead of time really saved lots of frustration and wasted time. The Guide and iPhone App are extremely easy to use and coordinate well with the Tube guide I had also installed. The only drawback was having to go to Leicester Square to retrieve and activate the pass, but that was really not very difficult. Next visit I may wait and pick up my pass at Heathrow and arrange lodging closer to Central London. Even if one does not take full advantage of all the attractions offered and perhaps spends a bit more on the pass than one uses, the convenience and ability to gain quick access at such places as the Tower and Tower Bridge far outweigh any possible added expense. By far the best feature was the ability to use transit with no incidental outlays.
