I ordered a hotel break, wowcher failed to advertise the £20 supplement for a saturday stay. It emailed to advise of the error and offered a refund. This is not the problem, it made a mistake and tried to put it right, fine. BUT when it e-mailed me it did a group e-mail which included my e-mail address to everyone who had ordered the wowcher leaving me open to spamming. I used wowcher because it guarantees personal info is safe, I am very careful about who I trust my e-mail address to.
I requested a refund as the deal was no longer good value it took ages and they blamed paypal for the problems. I did eventually get it back.
I e-mailed about the data protection breach. They recalled the e-mail (too late i already had everyone elses e-mail address and if they opened it they had mine) but they did not respond to my complaint.
They sent a general sorry e-mail this time appropriately blind CCd but they left someone elses details in the body of the e-mail. I advised them, e-mail recalled but again no response to my complaint.
I can accept errors but have the grace to apologise and reply to complaints.
Other than this I have used one other service, a photo canvass, it was ok, available as cheap elsewhere though.
