About a year ago we dumped the cable company and started using Netflix and Hulu plus for all of our television/movie watching. The price for unlimited streaming is good, the service is pretty good as well (every once in a while we have a hard time with the system being down - but that is rare), and it is perfect for watching older television series from start to finish. My biggest complaint is the lack of newer content (both films and relatively recent tv shows).
Over these last few years I have worked very hard to repair my credit score, slowly bringing it up from some pretty lackluster college days. In the midst of all that work, we had an identity theft scare that reminded me of just how fragile a credit rating can be when thieves can access so much of your personal information. With my identity guard account, I now let professionals do the worrying and watching for me. They are thorough, professional and affordable - and they've given me back my peace of mind.
I love to drool over the items at Modcloth. They are simply gorgeous - especially the dresses and the shoes (oh, the shoes!). When I have made purchases, I've been pleased with the shipping speed. I've also been able to make returns without a hitch - their process is very customer-friendly. My only beef with Modcloth is the price. I would shop here a lot more if the prices didn't border on the ridiculous.
Think Geek is my go-to place when I'm looking for Christmas or birthday gifts for my husband. He has wish-listed at least half of the inventory on the website! Beyond that, at Think Geek I can always manage to find something fun/interesting for those friends that are terribly hard to shop for. They run good sales, they keep up with current geek trends as well as all the classics (Star Wars, Star Trek, Firefly, BSG, etc.), and they ship quickly. All around, they are the real deal.
I'm surprised to see some of the poor reviews here - I've been a Shutterfly member for about six years and have always experienced terrific service and excellent quality products. Because I work with young people, I take a LOT of pictures. Between bulletin boards and scrapbooks, I order a great many prints, as well as photobooks and other products. With the shutterfly print plan, I get a great rate and am able to keep our costs down while we celebrate all the fun our kids have month after month. Moreover, I appreciate the level of creativity that I can have while creating the perfect book or photo gift. I think Shutterfly is top-notch!
