I feel sorry for Amazon, who use DPD to post their orders. DPD have failed Amazon at delivery post again! My parcel was suppose to be delivered between 16:07 and 17:07. Come 19:07 I phone up the depot station in Crawley. Spoke to someone called Tom, who looked up my parcel number and said that the driver is already back and gone home. So I asked if I he was going to get someone to deliver it today, he said no. The only thing he can do is get it delivered tomorrow, that's no use to me as I work! The other suggestion was to drive up and pick up the item myself at my expense, (50 mile trip, Hour and Half trip)
If I was Tom, I would of got the driver to come back to work to finish his job properly or risk being fired, or of course sort out a personal delivery of the item. I'd assume in this current climate, there are plenty of people looking for jobs, DPD should get more committed and driven people to work for them.
In the end, I have to phone up in the morning to ensure my parcel is delivered before 10:30 (When I go to work). Again there is no guarantee on this. Will look forward to writing another post tomorrow evening if/when they fail!
I myself post multiple items every month and would not recommend DPD.
