Delighted with the result.

We had got thoroughly fed up with having to weed the patio and brickweave driveway every couple of weeks and it always seemed to look a mess. However, we decided to have both cleaned and sealed and because we knew Karl and knew he would do a good job we booked him to carry out the work. His young man, Jonathan, carried out the work over a period of a few days, only being able to work when the weather was dry and looked as though it would continue to be so. Jonathan turned up mostly when he said he would although it was difficult for him as the forecasters didn't always get it right! He repaired a couple of areas where pieces of slab or brick had broken and then sprayed "heavy duty" weed-killer over the entire area. After this he pressure washed with a very powerful pressure washer (which broke down after a few hours even though it was, apparently, newly acquired). This was soon changed and the work completed. Kiln dried sand was then spread which filled in between the cracks, brushed off and then spray sealed. We chose the matt finish and we are absolutely delighted with the result.
All we need do now is just brush over the surfaces after the apple tree has shed its leaves!
