Ordered a bed mattress and headboard for 1800 quid from dreams in September
Made them aware we'd be moving in october and would like it delivered to the new address
'No problem' the salesman said.....
Received a telephone call from yodel a week before delivery to say 'can you confirm your postcode' they went onto advise me it didn't match the one they had received from dreams
Told them the one they had received was nothing like my postcode and I gave to dreams
Further grovelling telephone call from yodel telling me that delivery would be on the 2nd November, once again querying my postcode.
Another telephone call two days before to tell me definitely, that the delivery would arrive between 7 and 1045am once again querying my postcode
The EVENING before the delivery, yodel call me to inform that the delivery would not be coming in the morning!
Reason - was in the wrong depot because of an incorrect postcode!
Yodel stated that was the postcode dreams gave them.....
Yodel couldn't specify which day I would receive my bed as it was in the wrong depot
Yodel two days ago phone me to say that delivery will be on 9th November between 7 and 1045 am
A further call yesterday morning to reiterate the call the night before
A further call from the escalations team phoning to say that it would arrive on the 9th but not necessarily between those times!
He couldn't tell me exactly when it would arrive
I had arranged for someone to be at home for the times given to me. Told escalations Man I needed to know ASAP
He didn't phone me ASAP
Yesterday afternoon confirmed that it would arrive before 1200pm
Delivery driver phones
'Ive got two delivery notes with two postcodes, where are we going?'
Explained that it was an error at dreams or yodel and gave them the correct postcode
Two hours later delivery arrives. One delivery driver and one office staff who was 'knackered' after the first job of the day
Opened packaging to find a grease mark has gone through the packaging onto the mattress
Put bed together. I'm sure dreams stated that it would be constructed for me?
Whilst putting bed together, Received a call from yodel confirming my delivery for next Tuesday???
Told them I'm putting the bed together as it was delivered today!
The man continued to tell me 'so you confirm delivery for Tuesday?' I replied 'are you not listening to me I've had the bed delivered today' the yodel staff continued in the vain telling me if i wanted to cancel the order i had to call dreams?!? and I ended up putting the phone down on the incompetent fool.
AND just to end the evening another call saying the same, this member of staff had the office brain cell for the day and agreed how 'ridiculous' that was and apologised
