Sending my daughter some winter clothes, in the absence of advice on the Courierpoint website on how to fill in a customs invoice for not new personal clothing, I found some on another one. This suggested previously worn clothes should be valued very low, as their resale value is low. I did this, but it turned out Courierpoint use this as the insurance value as well. So if the parcel had got lost, she would only have got about £15, when of course you really need to be insured for the replacement value for clothing. So some information and advice on this in advance would have been good.
Happily, the parcel did not get lost, and it was great being able to track its journey.
I also found the advice on the page after booking the parcel, in the PDF attachment and on the labels I had to print were slightly inconsistent, and I was unsure what to do with the 2 extra labels, but successfully used the query service to fins out.
