I came to Mattressman after disastrous situation with DREAMS. The two companies could not have been more different. The sale person I saw was helpful and knowledgeable and not at all pushy... he knew exactly what kind of mattress I needed and told me which base to choose for the comfort level I was looking for. The bed and mattress arrived promptly and within the time scale quoted.

I first placed my order via the local store on 08/07/2012 for an adjustable super kingsize bed £1,999.00 - I received the VAT discount because I have a disability Spondylosis of the spine and Fybromalgia so I needed a bed that I would be comfortable with and their Comfort exchange appealed to me.... The bed arrived on the expected delivery date 24/07/2012 however, Yodal (another crappy company) refused to assemble the bed - I insisted and made a big fuss and they assembled it but in the process of huffing and puffing one of the guys not in uniform and looked like he'd come for doing an oil change left greasy black marks all over the divan base.... and damaged the fabric. They also found that the bed had no wheel inserts so the wheels fell out and half the wheels were missing. Immediately, phoned DREAMS and informed them of this... Having tried to sleep on this bed for two nights, I found it uncomfortable and because it had two mattresses my knee kept falling between them. I then went into the shop and asked for a comfort exchange. I chose another bed smaller and with a single mattress ....watched the sales guys input stuff into the computer was told I would be refunded the difference. So I waited and waited 4 weeks went by no call re bed delivery.... so I went into shop, made various phone calls to find the order had never been received... so it all started again.... another 4 weeks and still no bed... again was told the order hadn't been received this time I sent my husband to speak to the sales guy this was on 15/10/2012 order was put in and told I'd have to wait 28 days... I finally received a phone taken by my husband who asked them to make sure Yodals delivery guys would dismantle the old bed and assemble the new one... Yodal rang and again he asked they make sure....Delivery day arrived they came at the end of time period given to me... and refused to remove old bed and assemble the new one. The old bed is in my front room after my husband and I dismantled it... the delivery guys did help bring down the very heavy mattress.
Having assembled the bed... I tried sleeping on it...it was much harder than the one in the showroom - so after two sleepless nights I went back into the showroom and explained the situation - chose yet another bed... and told I would have to contact customer services for the refund... and to arrange the exchange... and to ring Monday..
I left the store not at all happy I phoned on Saturday and after a long conversation about all that had happened I was told I could not exchange as I already had and that they had honoured that change because it was out of the time I could exchange... I was told in the store by the sales guy I could exchange up to 5 times....I was furious I demanded my money back and for someone to collect the beds...... I was told I would hear from the cancelations department in the next 3 - 4 working days.... so me being me I wasn't about to wait so I phoned today...... and was told someone from cancellations had phoned... EM NO!!! then he said that I was refused a cancellation because I took delivery.......I was so angry I told them I would contact WATCHDOG... Had to buy another bed today..... I'm in a lot of pain and sleeplessness has made me cranky - the company I went to couldn't have been more different... not only did I get a bed far superior bed for £700.00 and delivered within 48 hours ( in fact even their most expensive bed with sheeps wool and cashmere was less money...)
