As a new drummer I had a specific shopping list for my practice set up and after looking at several other stores (who all had some but not all of the list) I found GAK.co.uk.
5 mins later my basket had every single piece in it I wanted, and at excellent prices to boot. Oh, and a free pair of sticks? Well why not.
Not only was everything in stock (inc the seemingly hard-to-find Alesis Kick pad) but I could have had it the next day for free as I'd gone into the free delivery order value zone. Their flexible ordering process allowed me to choose the day after to suit my movements at no extra which is simply outstanding. It's the little things like this which makes good online shops stand out from the run-of-the-mill.
After checking my confirmation email I was horrified to see I'd managed to order 2 snare stands instead of one and pinged an email to customer services hoping to intercept the order before shipping but not optimistic given it was due to me in 72 hours.
Within an hour I'd had a flurry of emails from them and the upshot was that the order was changed after confirmation of my amendments and all was good.
In short, I'd say it doesn't get better than this experience for online shopping. My only suggestion would be to have a URL with a vaguely musical connection - I thought they were one of those price comparison sites when I first saw them on Google! Glad I clicked anyway though.
