My friend and I were going to volunteer at the Olympics and we needed a one night stay before we reached our Olympic accommodations. My friend was looking for a hotel and found one in London for over three hundred pounds. I decided I wasn't paying that much, and decided to start hunting. I found this website (Travel Stay) and found a hotel which was very reasonably priced. As it was during the Olympics I thought it would have been overpriced. But it was £142.50 for one night during the Olympics which I thought was fantastic. I had a few problems with the booking of my hotel room, with the deposit and cancellation procedures, but a manager in charge at Travel Stay kindly dealt with my problems in a quick and efficient manner.
As a gesture of goodwill, the manager offered me a holiday voucher for GBP 20. which I could use off the total amount of my next booking deposit with Travel Stay.
I was to be returning to Canada and would not be able to use it. The manager once again was kind enough to refund £20 back onto my card.
I feel that Travel Stay was fantastic to deal with, and did everything they could to help me out as a customer; which I think alot of other companies should be doing.
