It was all going well. Doordeals were very friendly and assisting when I was requesting quotes and advice for my French doors. I placed my order and liaised with them regarding specific dates I had set to install the doors which were within their lead-time. Unfortunately 2 weeks before the due delivery date Doordeals contacted me to say the doors had been manufactured incorrectly. Unfortunately there didn't seem to be a way to get new ones manufactured in time but they assured me that they'd get new ones manufactured at not extra cost to me! This they did but when they were delivered the weather boards which were attached to them were missing. I checked with the courier company and they couldn't find them. I explained this to Doordeals who then emailed the courier company (cc'ing me) asking them to find them or sort them out via insurance. I waited for well over a week and still no news. I finally had to chase Doordeals to enquire as to where my weatherboards were, I received en email that contained no "Hello", "Dear", "Sorry", "Apologies" etc - just the following within the email "I will ask they are posted out this week."
Overall the product (Frenchdoors) themselves are OK but the service was generally poor and at times it felt like they really didn't understand the inconveniences to me. I think the very least I should have received, should have been an apologetic email with some explanation or compensation for my lost in time, resources and trust.
I wait with anticipation....
