I have booked 3 courses with the knowledge academy and have attended 2 so far.
On the positive side on both the courses I have attended so far (PRINCE2 & Change Management) the trainers were very good and efficient in delivery of the material (that was in their control) and preparation for the exams. I will comment on the next one after I have attended.
However, I have had a few issues with the Knowledge Academy:
1. Cancellation of the course in the location I wanted to attend and moving me to an alternative because apparently there was no one else booked to attend in the location I wanted. When attending the course I found out that 75% of those their were from the location of my original booking and had also been moved. I can only assume this is because it was cheaper for KA at the alternative location even though the vast majority of delegates were located in the original location!! Be aware this might happen to you.
2. I had to chase up repeatedly for the books that I needed to do the pre-course work. All the other delegates on my latest course confirmed they had also had to do this. One delegate had bought the book them self as it had not turned up at all despite chasing.
3. The slides on my course in my handbook did not match those of the trainer, this is not the trainers fault as they are prepared by the KA. This meant that he kept having to search around and start using his own notes which were more up to date to ensure he covered the syllabus. It meant the course at times did not flow very well, these are intense courses and this is not good when trying to absorb all the information you need to.
4. BE AWARE OF THE TERMS and CONDITIONS - If you are willing to take the risk on availability leave booking the course as late as you can but allow enough time to do the pre-course work. A personal matter arose which meant 1 1/2 weeks before the next course and I asked if I could re-arrange for an alternative date. As it was under 20 working days there was no flexibility. This is just one of those things you need to be aware of.
Delivery was very quick and when I wrote about the order being wrong they provided a quick resolution and a discount on further orders. Would highly recommend.
