A better experience once you ditch the technology and get personal.

Got email from Volvo inviting me to book my C30 T5 in for service at my preferred dealer, just complete all details on form email it back and it would all be sorted with dealer contacing me with suitable appointment --- tried thrice and nothing !!!
Husband, who is a member of IMI and has spent all his working life in the industry, then phoned Stoneacre to make arrangements the old fashioned way, stating we did not need the offers of a loan car or collection/delivery and that if we could drop my car off early the following week they could keep it as long as they needed to. This was agreed by friendly and polite service adviser ( Ann ) who quoted the cost of the job without prompting, which she confirmed with all our other details when we delivered my car to them. The following day Ann phoned and said my car was ready, but there was some advisory extra work which she explained and priced, my husband agreed and although car would still be ready that day we arranged collection for the next morning. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly young lady receptionist who explained that Ann was outside with a custmer but would not be long and having offered us a hot drink arranged some seating to await her return.
Ann soon came back into the building, greeted us by name and apologised for not being there when we arrived. The relevent paperwork was already on her desk and she went through all of the work carried out and individual costs involved and having paid the bill we were given a comprehensive invoice and sevice sheet. It was very pleasing to find not only had my car been thoroughly cleaned but also we received a complimentary 12 months roadside assistance. The business completed we were given my key and shown where my car was parked, wished an enjoyable afternoon and told that they looked foreward to seeing us next year for the car's MOT.
All together a friendly, courteous and proffesional service from people who seemed not only to enjoy their jobs but also dealing with and helping their customers. "Very well done!" I say, my husband also agrees, and he should know, better than most I would think !!
