Just Eat

Ordering slick, Delivery and Service Poor

Like many people here, the ordering is slick and fast. The delivery is "hit and miss". After using Just-Eat for many orders, I ordered some Chinese tonight and after 1hr 30m wait I thought I should probably check with Just-Eat what the status was... they simply replied "restaurant said they didn't get your order". This despite an order number, an email acknowledgment, etc...

No bother - no delivery, no charge right? Well - sort of... Your credit card "has" been charged but only insofar as you may not be able to access the funds that JustEat reserved until the bank release it...

Sorry guys - you used to be good - now you simply fail to deliver and the customer service experience is poor... I deleted my account after this - I will take my business elsewhere...

(and I will be watching my bank statements as I hold Just-Eat liable legally for taking (sorry - "ring fencing") my money)...

I'm sorry to hear that you had a problem with your order.

If you received an email confirmation this would indicate that the order was transmitted to the restaurant, If you could email me the details of the order I would be happy to find out what went wrong with the order. My email address is

Part of the ordering process is having card payments pre-authorised, our system ask your bank to confirm the funds are available to meet the transition when it’s ready to complete.

Once your bank says yes the payment is held in pending by them so that you cannot spend the money twice so to speak, the value is therefore removed from your available balance.

When an order is rejected or cannot be completed the payment is cancelled, it can take up to 7 working days for the funds to be returned to your available balance depending on the individual banks processes.

Chariot trailer and accessories - delivered super fast...

After shopping around for the Chariot range of trailers, I found ActiveSport to have a lower price than their competitors and the range of accessories that I was after. The ordering process was flawless, with the ability to pay by PayPal much appreciated and worked very well.

I received notification that my order was received within the hour and got an email from Mark Anthony confirming my order was on direct order from Germany and to expect a 7-14 day delivery window.

Day 7 and my order arrived by courier, very well packed, all complete and right on time (even early). Very impressed with the service I received and would recommend. Communications in my case was almost instant from the moment of ordering...
