Cheap car hire at a cost! Low or no service when you need it.
I hired a car and took it back to Pisa Airport. One month later I was charged nearly £200 for a cigarette burn in the back seat. No one in our family smokes! Thrifty cars had altered the check-in form to show the damage. Lucky I kept the original. Auto-Europe have passed my protests on to Thrifty Cars but have done nothing to help me. I think they should support their customer if they want to keep their reputation. We then flew on to Sardinia and waited three hours for a car. The girl at the desk boasted she had checked out 100 cars! Useless for the customer. I will keep to a reputable car hire company with service in the future and not be so concerned on price.
