Absolutely awful customer service. Went to their Alperton, London store a few days ago for the price promise deal they offer. I wanted to buy a Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet that a Tesco store within 30 miles (Watford Extra) had in stock and was selling at a much lower price (£318 vs £399). On their website, Currys offer to beat selected retailers (including Tesco) on price as long as a store within thirty miles of a Currys store has it in stock. Both the assistant manager as well as another worker called Tesco's Customer Service to ask about the stock and price at that Tesco's Watford Extra store. Despite getting it confirmed the product was in stock and being sold at a lower price, they refused to go through with the price match, using an incredibly lame excuse: that they couldn't get a confirmation from the actual store itself! It wasn't that they couldn't, they simply never tried. When I said so, I was told I'm wasting their time, losing them hundreds of pounds of business etc, and that they 'can't be doing with me'. Which would have been funny had it not been so incredibly pathetic, as the product I wanted wasn't exactly worth a tenner. Basically the staff get a bonus depending on revenue, so you can bet they'll try their mighty hardest, even drop to this level and treat you like dirt, to ensure you don't get a price match. Don't bother going in for one. Even better, avoid this place altogether as the staff have digusting manners.
