I have used Very.co.uk for little over a year now. I've ordered various different items from clothes to a sofa for my living room. One thing that always puts me off is the service of delivery, Very appear to use several different companies to deliver their products and take no responsibility for this once they have processed the order. My sofa was over 1 week late (I had already gotten rid of my old one so we had to sit on the floor for a week!). I had no apology or phone call to tell me this was the case, I simply happened to check the status of the parcel and the date had changed! When it was delivered the guys left a corner sofa in 2 parts lying in the middle of my living room, still covered in the plastic. When spending large amounts of money I expect a service, and it is the delivery companies responsibility to check that items are not damaged upon delivery. Quite hard for me to unpack and check the sofa by myself when the two very capable men could have done this for me.
I agree with the other comments re nominated delivery times - every time I have used this service the item has been late. I tend only to use this when I really need something quickly so if Very cannot guarantee delivery at a specified time don't offer it as a service.
Sounds like most people have given similar reviews to this - Very should smarten things up as their products are great they just let themselves down with disappointing service!!
