Maybe just a one-off for me? Having trawled the net for some competitive pricing, I came across D&M Tools, I set up an account and ordered some expensive ( £420 ) De Walt equipment from them via their website and paid using my credit card. I then received a phone call from them within half an hour to say that there was no stock, even DeWalt didn't have any stock until the end of April ( approx 6-7 weeks away )
The sales adviser was polite and did advise me that the system wasn't live, so only accurate information was available by phone !! She did offer alternatives and a weak apology, then advised me that the money would be returned to my Credit card in a few days time.......
I contacted Toolstop who I have dealt with several before, they price matched and delivered next day.
Ordered Tuesday afternoon ( about 3.00) paid £20 for EXPRESS delivery and goods arrived Friday afternoon. Four days off work all gone!! Too late to start job - game over.
I Am not someone who no ally bothers with these surveys because with most companies I have dealt with on the net the sl experience has been mediocre or poor and I would rather say nothing about that. But I could not believe the quality of the prompt and efficient service, even down to the e-mail on delivery day quoting the 1 hour delivery slot. Goods were exactly as described etc etc etc. There are a lot of companies out there who could learn a lot from this particular one. It's. real credit to whoever is behind it. Thank you.
