When is a hole not a hole? When it is poorly filled with filler.

Inital contact was good and submited detailed plan. Cad tec drawing returned to me was incorrect had to point out errors. Paid by card and waited for delivery.
On receipt I noticed two poorly filled knot holes on the finished face (40mmx10)(10x10)
almost next to each other. The result of a very poor piece of wood. The holes go right through the work top.
Informing Work Top Express I was asked to send them photos.The responce a disappointment after several e-mails the solution was to refill the holes myself !
There is not any information on the web site telling the customer to expect wood filler on the finished surface.
