I'm a computer geek, and so possibly a bit of a sad git(?) so when MicroDream were selling their stock of Lenovo X61's at a price well below the price they first hit the market at in 2006 I just had to have one. The one problem (of my own making) was quickly sorted by MicroDream and I now have a compact and speedy laptop which has replaced my Acer Aspire One and HP Netbook as my always on Internet portal device. Let's hope the twelve month warranty need never be invoked. Now how do I fit a Samsung 840 SSD to the X61...........?
I first started using Scan when they set-up business all those years ago. For the most part if nothing goes wrong then their prices (usually) make it worth shopping with them. However, when you get faulty kit they really try to make out it's your fault. On two occasions they didn't even reply to my request for a refund/replacement. Now if I can get the item from Amazon and within a few pounds I opt for Amazon because of their no quibble returns/replacement policy.
