On the 13th of September I ordered ( online ) a bed, mattress and bedside cabinet from Dreams, the bed and bedside cabinet were from their Pippa range.
How I wish I had found this site before I did it.
The bed and mattress were delivered on the 15th of October and I have been trying since then to get my bedside cabinet delivered.
After many phone calls and e-mails they tried to deliver a bedside table today( 19th of November ) which is not what I ordered.....a completely different style and colour which does not match the bed. I refused delivery and I have rung Dreams head office and been told that is what I ordered despite the fact that I have the conformation e-mail of my original order printed out and on my computer which states quite clearly that I ordered the right bedside table. I offered to send a copy of the original order to prove that I hadn't made a mistake but it was like talking to the wall. I wasn't allowed to speak to an office manager and the girl I was talking to just carried on telling me that I had ordered the wrong cabinet. So in point of fact I am wrong, and the conformation of the order note from Dreams is also wrong !!
I realised I was getting nowhere fast and cancelled my order only to be told that there will be a considerable wait for my money back. They have had this money since 13th of September, I paid with my credit card and they took the money before any goods were dispatched which is fraudulent...it is now the 19th of October and I feel that is long enough for the delivery of the goods I ordered. I should really get my money back with interest, they have been collecting interest on it since it went out of my account......I also have proof of when they took it.
They don't acknowledge e-mails and they don't return calls the only recourse I have now is to contact the office of fair trading and take my complaint to the Trading Standards office as I feel this will be the only way to receive fair treatment.
I realise after reading through a lot of the complaints on here that my complaint is very small fry to the way other people have been treated.
How can this company keep getting away with such fraudulent behaviour and carry on trading. I applaud the man who went and caused uproar in one of their shops. I think we should all go and picket their head office until they own up to their misdemeanors and start putting things right. !!!
