I ordered 3 1sg ft plots, and 2 100 sg ft plots, as well as several accessories. The 1 sg ft packages came in 5 days, but my larger packages did not. I contacted Kim and she asked me to give it a few more days, until the 19th. On the 19th, it still hadn't arrived, so I contacted her back. She was quick to offer to resend. Then an hour later, the package arrived. Knowing that their office was probably closed (I am in the US), I sent an email to let Kim know that it was here, and hoping to catch her before she sent another package. Luckily, Kim read her email before she went to post in the morning. Certainly, it was all the accessories I had ordered and the planting of the tree that had slowed my package down.
Everything was beautiful though. The pens are heavy in the hand and write beautifully. The pictures are lovely, and the dvd enjoyable to watch. The lapel pin looks glorious on the lanyard I must wear at work.
I am most pleased that this organization is using the money to do reforestation of the area and to increase local economy by hiring local workers. I feel that I am making a difference in the lives of the local people by supporting this cause. Isn't that what the historical Lords and Ladies did? Owned land and gave jobs to the local people on their lands? I may not be providing a lot of jobs. I know that. But together, everyone who buys plots is helping the local economy and the conservation effort. And one day, I hope to visit Scotland, and my land, and meet the staff of Highland Titles, and thank them for their work.
