I ordered two items, one of which was plastered all over the order that it needed a signature. I choose a delivery slot 6 days in the future knowing someone would be at home, and paid £2.00 extra for the privilege, next day delivery was cheaper!
Delivery day was today, one part of the order has arrived the other hasn't. I called to find out where the missing parcel was. I was told they could only guarantee delivery on one of the two parcels, the other was coming by Royal Mail, I wasn't advised of this when I ordered. The lady said she'd put it down as a misunderstanding and refund the delivery charge, as admittedly they only despatched at 7pm last night.
1. the other item wasn't emblazoned at order point that it needed a signature, yet it was despatched at the same time, from the same depot according to the online order tracker. It was delivered by a courier who requested a signature and was delivered at just after Noon today.
2. The other item, admittedly more expensive, has been sent from the same depot, then been redirected to Royal Mail, because it needs a signature and hasn't been delivered on time. This means that when it's delivered and there's no one home I'm going to be inconvenienced by having to go and pick it up from the local delivery office, which has ridiculous opening hours. Oh and I got to pay more that!
Sort it out Very. At least make the delivery details clearer at point of ordering because at no point was I made aware the order would be split and delivered by different methods.
