In September 2012 my husband retired from work. Unknown to him, his company still kept his email account for work purposes. Swiftcover 'said' they contacted this email account in January to acknowledge travel insurance renewal. Unknown to us a new insurance was 'agreed' and the amount was debited to Visa. The first we knew about this was when we received our Visa bill. We immediately contacted both Visa and Swiftcover but noone would help, stating we simply had to pay money for something we didn't want or authorised. Swiftcover Customer services should have received an acknowledgement back from my husbands old company stating this email account was now closed but Swiftcover deny this. Swiftcover Customer services when contacted virtually called us liars when we said we hadn't used this insurance as we haven't been away on holiday.
They said we could cancel the policy but wouldn't be reinbersed !!!!
This is unacceptable. We can't afford £90 for nothing !!!!
Do not deal with Swiftcover at all as they are completely unethical.
We went online to order two mattresses, but although most of the process went through fine, we didn't receive acknowledgement of our payment. Just a quick phone call to the customer service team and we were informed everything had gone through okay. The delivery came on time and the goods delivered were excellent.
Right from going online, to ringing the customer service team and speaking to a young man who was really polite and helpful, to the delivery, everything was first rate.
Definately will recommend you to friends and family.
